iSuppli: production of notebook computers this year will reach 209.5 million units

Market research firm iSuppli recently released a report by the global economic situation and warming, and the netbook and ultra-low voltage (CULV) hot-selling notebook computer driven, the global notebook PC shipments will reach double-digit percentage growth.
iSuppli said in a report this year, the total worldwide notebook shipments will reach 209.5 million units, compared with 166.9 million units last year, up 22.5%. iSuppli said that notebook sales growth this year, not only will exceed 19% in 2008, and will be higher than the growth rate of the next four years, the growth rate of the next four years up to no more than 23%.
iSuppli expects the global online this year, total shipments will reach 34.5 million units, up 30% over the previous year. 2014, the global Internet of the shipments will reach 58.3 million units total. Ultra low voltage laptop shipments this year are expected to reach 14.5 million units, compared with 750 million units last year, up 93%. Taking into account the emerging ultra low voltage laptop shorter, and the volume very low starting point, the market’s growth rate this year will be from 2009 to 2014 the highest growth rate, but the next few years the growth rate will gradually decline and became stable. Conventional notebook computer shipments this year will reach 160.5 million units, compared with last year’s 132.9 million units increased by 21%. However, iSuppli believes that in 2014, conventional notebook computer notebook PC market will remain the highest-selling product.
Acer 2009 is the world’s largest manufacturer of Internet access this year, the company may continue to maintain that status. With competitive pricing, strong distribution channels and faster introduction of products in 2009, Acer netbook shipments to reach 9.8 million units, occupied 37% market share. ASUS netbook market in the world second largest, in 2009 total 550 million units shipped, the market share of 37% from 2008 down to 21%. HP, Samsung, Dell were ranked in the Internet market, shipments of the third, fourth and fifth. iSuppli said that the top five manufacturers account for 90% of the global Internet’s share of this market.
